Infectious Diseases

Divisions:

Allergy and Immunology: Our faculties provide training in all areas related to allergy and

immunology including primary immunodeficiencies, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Rhinitis, sinusitis,

nasal polyps and drug reactions.

Cardiology: The faculty provides clinical and research training in a variety of clinical and

translational places, including all cardiology subspecialty areas such as adolescent and adult

congenital heart disease, non-invasive imaging, Electrophysiology, Preventive cardiology and

Interventional cardiology

Endocrinology: The mission of the Division of Endocrinology is to maintain excellence in

clinical care, education, and research. We train future leaders in pediatric endocrinology who

will advance scientific knowledge and provide outstanding care to children and young adults

with endocrine disorders.

Gastroenterology: The Gastroenterology division is providing evaluation and treatment for a

wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders and participates in clinical and translational

research.

Hematology & Oncology: The Hematology & Oncology division is providing advanced care for

children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and hemoglobin disorders. Our goal is to

establish innovative and effective therapy for their cancer.

Infectious Diseases: The fellowship program offers special opportunities in the diagnosis,

treatment and prevention of infectious diseases in children. In addition, we evaluate children

with symptoms that are recurrent, atypical or unexplained, including HIV and other

immunocompromised conditions.

Neonatology and Perinatology: The Division of Neonatology & Newborn supports the health and

well-being of the newborn, whether critically ill, premature, or simply in need of special

observation.

Nephrology: The Pediatric Nephrology Division aims to provide comprehensive care for

children with kidney-related concerns. We treat children with kidney and urinary tract disease

and kidney failure, and patients who require acute or chronic peritoneal hemodialysis and kidney

transplants.

Pulmonology: Pediatric pulmonologists specialize in treating children with breathing problems.

Common conditions we treat include asthma, pneumonia and wheezing.

Neurology: The Division of Pediatric Neurology is committed to excellence in patient care,

academic training, and research. Our neurology team specializes in treating neurological

conditions in infants, children and adolescents such as epilepsy, neurometabolic disorders,

headache and neuromuscular disorders.
