Description of the duties of the head of the department
 
- Clinical department is a hospital unit that is formed in the name of one of the specialized clinical fields and in relation to the activities of that field. One of the faculty members of each department is the head of the department.
- The head of the department is proposed by the head of the hospital and the director of the relevant department and is appointed by the dean of the medical school.
- The head of the department, while attending the department and performing assigned duties as a faculty member, is also responsible for planning and supervising the good performance of educational, research, therapeutic and executive affairs of the department.
- People receiving training generally refers to all people who are present in the department to receive training, including interns, interns, specialized assistants, subspecialists, and fellowships.
 
 
The organization of the department is as follows:
 
- Department and group internship program manager who is appointed by the department head and group manager and is responsible for implementing all student programs.
- Department and group assistant programs manager who is appointed by the selection of the department head and group manager and is responsible for all department assistant programs
 
 
  Duties of the department head:
 
- Compilation of the monthly program of the department, clinic, the monthly schedule of faculty members, intra-department meetings, conferences, etc.
- Compilation of educational, research, executive programs for each member of the department
- Supervising the activities of the director of internship and assistantship programs and the head of the clinic
- Compilation of programs for faculty members (scholarships, study opportunities, participation in internal and external conferences, etc.)
- Participating in hospital, college, university meetings to present the department's point of view
- Determining the personnel, financial, equipment, pharmaceutical,... department needs and presenting them to the relevant officials
- Forming department and group councils every month to use the ideas of colleagues and present the minutes of the meeting to the vice president of the hospital.
- Carrying out periodic evaluations of trainees (assistant-interns) about the department and each faculty member at least 2 times a year and announcing the results to the vice president of the hospital.
- Monthly registration and analysis of all the educational activities of faculty members (attendance at the hospital, attendance at the clinic, attendance at the round...) and announcing it to the faculty members at the end of each month.
- Announcing the development program of the department and new programs of the department at the end of each year to the department, hospital, faculty.

Description of duties of a faculty member:
 
1- Education:
 
Presentation of the teaching program of theoretical and practical classes, including clinical (hospital-clinic) and field training taught by him, mentioning the type of training method and the number of students and how to evaluate them, which has been certified by the head of the department and the director of the relevant group.
Compile the Course Plan and send a copy to the faculty and explain the students at the beginning of each class
  Providing educational texts or audio or video educational tapes or educational CDs
Documents that indicate that learners have achieved the educational goals of the relevant course.
Documentation that the faculty member is available to learners during the course to answer their questions.
Invention and innovation in educational activities.
Presenting the results of the students' evaluation of the faculty member's teaching style.
The list and description of courses whose teaching method has been revised and changed by the faculty member.
The list of hours and topics taught in continuous education courses along with the teaching method
Report of advisory activities for learners.
Attendance hours in the group's educational programs (Journal Club, Morning Report, Grand Round, Death Boar...) and how to work in them.
  The number, titles, and degrees of theses that have been completed or are in progress under the supervision of a faculty member in a period of one year.
2- Research:
 
Announcing your research activities to the director of the department and through that to the faculty at the beginning of the academic year.
The number and titles of articles published in medical journals, mentioning the type of journal (domestic-international) along with a copy of the article.
The number and titles of summaries of articles presented in domestic and foreign conferences and assemblies along with copies of summaries of articles.
A book or book chapter authored or edited or translated.
  Approved research projects in progress, indicating the approximate percentage of progress and the amount of time spent on them during one year.
Inventions and discoveries along with its approval certificate.
  In a certain period after the end of the academic year, the points related to the above research activities will be reflected to the faculty member after being calculated by the faculty.
3- Individual development:
 
Certificate of participation in various courses, seminars, specialized conferences and workshops.
  The number of hours the faculty member has spent studying in his/her specialized field every month
The amount of use and the way of teaching from distance methods.
Certificate of using study opportunities inside or outside the country according to the approved criteria.
Providing a report on the actions taken to eliminate the weaknesses in the evaluation and strengthen the strengths.
  Providing confirmation of promotion to a higher rank (in case of promotion
4- Executive and managerial activities:
 
Presenting the responsibilities of each faculty member in the department, educational group, faculty or university.
Provision of responsibilities outside the university.
  Presenting the hours spent every month for executive activities to the certificate of his manager.
Presenting the hours spent every month to participate in various committees and councils
  5- Providing medical services and health promotion:
 
  The number of hours spent each month for providing medical services (visiting patients, operating room, performing various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures...) and how to do it according to the certificate of the group director and the vice president of education of the hospital.
