History of kidney department

The All Children's Group was launched by Dr. Hassan Atukesh and Dr. Ahmed Mashouf. In 1369, Dr. Hassan Atukesh took charge of it and with the cooperation of 3 specialists of all children, Dr. Nakissa Homan since 1380 and Dr. Azar Nikavar since 1383 and Dr. Rozita Hosseini. It continues to work since 1390. Other professors of this group are Dr. Nahid Rahimzadeh at Rasool Akram Hospital and Dr. Soheila Mahdavi Nia at Firozabadi Hospital. The children's kidney section of this center has become a referral place for kidney patients, transplants and dialysis for children and teenagers from all over the country. The dialysis department was also launched in 1994, and now, in addition to performing hemodialysis, with the efforts of Dr. Homan, it is the pioneer of peritoneal dialysis in children and is the center for training peritoneal dialysis for nurses in the country. Also, since 1376, this department has played a significant role in kidney transplant patients with the cooperation of Labafinejad Hospital and Hazrat Rasool Hospital, and it has become one of the most important kidney transplant centers for children and adolescents in the country.

This group of nephrology has been training super-specialists since 2005.
